AvtechTyee Attendant Handset
Cabin interphones provide means for the cabin crew to interact with each other, the flight crew, and passengers. The most visible and commonly used part of the cabin interphone system is the handset, which is coupled with a cradle that must retain the handset throughout a variety of crash safety tests. Cabin interphone handsets and cradles are either “smart” or “simple” in that they can either perform audio switching, signaling, and call resets on their own (“smart”) or rely on a cabin interphone controller (“simple”). To reduce the complexity associated with the highly utilized and critical cabin handset, AvtechTyee has primarily focused on “simple” handsets that are closely aligned with our PACIC systems. This allows the handsets to be reliable, and lower cost, than more complex variants. There are three part families used for Cabin Interphones:
